Now, lets dig deep and learn truths that transform us. I. We KNOW Satan is the Adversary. “out of the bottomless pit” A. Genesis 3: = STALKER B. Job 1 = ACCUSER C. John 8:44 = LIAR D. I John 5:19 = God of the Earth Dwellers II. We ARE Citizens of Heaven. “dwell on the Earth” A. What does one look like? A CITIZEN OF HEAVEN: 1. Matthew 6:19 = LAYS UP TREASURE IN HEAVEN AND THUS IS: a) CONTENTED v.6-8 “Now godliness with contentment b) GUARDED v.9-10 ” But those who desire to be rich c) ANCHORED v.11-12 ” But you, O man of God, flee 2. Philippians 3:20 = A CITIZEN OF HEAVEN LONGS FOR AND LOVES HIS COMING. a) WE ARE TO WAIT EAGERLY: 1 Corinthians 1:7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, (NKJV) b) WE ARE TO WAIT CONFIDENTLY Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete [it] until the day of Jesus Christ; (NKJV) c) WE ARE TO BE LOOKING WITH LONGING EYES: Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, (NKJV) d) WE ARE TO KEEP CLEAN WHILE WE WAIT: 1 Timothy 6:14 that you keep [this] commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, (NKJV) e) WE ARE TO BE IN GREAT HOPEFULNESS AS WE WAIT: Titus 2:13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, (NKJV) f) WAITING EAGERLY IS A MARK OF TRUE SAVING FAITH: Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. (NKJV) B. Hebrews 11:10-13 = A CITIZEN OF HEAVEN LOOKS FOR THE CITY. 1. THEY LOOK FOR A SECURE CITY: Hebrews 11:10,13 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God. 2.
