Thanking Him:

Move around into a section of the auditorium, as we break into small groups of 4-6 people so we can sit close enough to hear each other sharing and praying.

Then, each person in the circle looks up and reads a passage, and then offers a prayer of thanksgiving from that passage to the Lord. Move on to the next person & passage, going around and around the small group, until the entire list is finished.

For Eternal Life Through Jesus Christ:  John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  John 10:28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

For His Spirit: John 16:3  “And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. Galatians 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”

For His Word:  John 17:17  “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.   Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

For His Strength:  Chronicles 16:9  “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”  Isaiah 41:10  “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

For His Love:  Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you.”

For His Spiritual Blessings:  Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

For His Peace:  John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  Philippians 4:7…and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

For His Guidance:  Psalm 5:8  Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face.  Psalm 48:14  For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.  Proverbs 4:11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths.

For Our Freedom: John 8:32  “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Galatians 5:1  Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

For Our Fullness In Christ: Colossians 2:10…and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

For Our Abundance Through Christ: John 10:10  “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

For His Plan Of Salvation:  Acts 4:12  “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”  2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him
who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

For Using Us In This Ministry: 1 Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.

Intercession For One Another

After the Thanking Him section is done, move on into this intercession section, praying for each other around your small group as directed below.

Unison in Small Group: Father, we boldly come before Your throne, presenting the needs and requests of our church; our leaders and members; our ministries.  We acknowledge our dependence upon You and recognize that unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.  Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.  Hear our prayers, O God; make us a house of prayer.

One Read: Habakkuk 2:1  I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart,  And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.

Another Read: Ephesians 6:18…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Another Read: 1 Timothy 2:1  Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.

Another Read: 1 John 5:14-15  Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Prayer Time: Share requests one by one, pause and someone pray for that person’s requests. Then, the next person shares their requests, we pause, someone prays for them, and so on. Keep going until we end with a song at 715 PM.
