CRY OUT TO JESUS FROM YOUR STORMS–HE CAN RESCUE YOU TODAY!

Christ’s Omniscience: Jesus Can See Me Today
Do you remember how the Gospels picture Christ’s ministry to His disciples when He was on earth? He always knew where His disciples were and what they needed.
There is a spot, often referred to in the 4 Gospels as “the mountain”. It was the spot Jesus went to pray, to call His disciples, to give them the Great Commission, and other events. It was a place they knew so well that after one of His times in Jerusalem after the Cross, Jesus told the disciples that He’d meet them next on “the mountain” in Galilee.
Today that mountain is called Arbel; and if you turn to Matthew 14:22 we can see a beautiful reminder of how Jesus can always see each of us, and how He responds to what He sees (Matthew 14:22-33; Mark 6:46-48; John 6:15-21).
Matthew 14:22-33 Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. 23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. 24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. 25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” 28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
So what does Jesus do now?

Jesus Stretches Out His Hands to Us Today
He knows every detail of our lives, every fear we dread to face, and every weakness that can defeat us—so He can always help us!
Jesus watched you straining against the waves and storms of life this week.
Jesus saw all of your fears that you were sinking back into that sin that so easily besets you.
Jesus saw you knocked down by waves of fear, waves of doubt, waves of sadness.
Jesus saw that your boat was swamped with those waves, and you were sinking.
He sees it all.
Jesus wants you to cry out to Him from the storm, as you start to sink.
He wants you to say: “Lord, save me.”
