DID YOU KNOW THAT ON THE CROSS JESUS OPEN MANY GRAVES–BRINGING TO LIFE OT SAINTS TO PROVE HIS DEITY
Bonnie & I started a two-week series of classes today for new believers on the DEITY of JESUS CHRIST. We are using the Resurrection Week services that were presented in the churches we served from 1989-20008. Pray for many receptive hearts to grow in the assurance of who Jesus really is!
THE PROMISE KEPT in MATTHEW 27.
God kept His promise, He sent us Jesus to be born as God with us.
God kept His promise, He sent us Jesus to die for our sins.
God kept His promise, He sent us Jesus to rise from the dead.
God kept His promise, He sent us Jesus to give us everlasting life.
God the Promise Keeper, sent Jesus the Promise Kept!
The most climactic moment of all history is the Cross of Jesus Christ. God who made us watched as we turned from Him in Adam, and became incurably contaminated with sin. But the way back to Him was God’s greatest promise made to mankind. God said He wanted to be with us. Think of that, we as humans in Adam rebelled, turned away from God, and caused the death of His only Son. Yet He wants to be with us and for us to be with Him forever.
This Resurrection Sunday morning I want you to always remember that God has Kept His Promise to make a way for us to be with Him and for Him to be with us!
Jesus is The Promise Kept.
Jesus Promised that if they destroyed the temple (His body) He’d be back in 3 days, and He was.
Jesus promised that because He lives we shall live also!
Jesus Promised that He was THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD and to prove that He touched the Sun from the Cross and darkened it!
Jesus Promised that He was THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE and to prove it He reached down from the Cross and touched the Centurion.
Jesus Promised that He was THE ONE WHOSE VOICE CAN BE HEARD IN THE GRAVE and to prove that He raised many from their graves from the Cross.
Jesus Promised that He was THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE AND THE WAY TO GOD and to prove that He split the veil in the Temple to open the way to us!
Jesus Promised that He was THE CREATOR OF THE EARTH and to prove it He reached down and touched the Earth with a Mighty Quake.
Do you know the Promise God kept?
• His name was Jesus.
• He was a peasant carpenter.
• He had carried on an itinerant relief work across all of Israel.
• Countless thousands had followed Him, heard Him and witnessed Him performing the mightiest acts ever seen on the planet in history.
• The hungry were fed.
• The sick were healed.
• The dead were raised.
• The deaf were made to hear.
• The blind were made to see.
• The lepers were made new.
• The demonized were delivered.
Jesus promised He would die as God’s Lamb. That happened as a result of the greatest crime the world has ever witnessed. Christ’s death took place on a cross of wood and with carpenter’s tools. It was “on a skull-shaped hill, on a sunny day outside of Jerusalem nearly 2,000 years ago. – MANKIND MURDERED THEIR MAKER”.
